Hi Apparrently they told my son that the Montana insurance is his secondary insurance and the one he had first must be his primary insurance. As far as the preexisting condition goes the Montana insurance will cover him as long as he had insurance before which he did. I am just afraid when he drops the Montana insurance to goback to graduate school at 24 years of age and I try to put him back on my insurance he will have a hard time. For the sake of 8 months I would prefer to leave him on mine.

Well, that's unusual, but the terms of the policies will determine who is primary and who is secondary so that's not a big deal.



If you want to leave him on your plan and he qualifies as an eligible dependent, there's no reason not to.
